Soleil had a PUD guest coming in to teach us about electrical circuits.  We built circuits and learn how to identify different kinds of circuits.  Our teachers were Mr. Olson and Ms Donegan.  This class was really fun and we learned a lot!

We have been testing this week. This test has a special name. The test is called the SBA. SBA stands for Smarter Balance Assessment. In Madrona, only 3rd grade and up take the SBA. In the SBA, you must take a placement test to determine what level you will take. In the SBA, usually are two subjects. Those subjects are math, and language arts. 5th grade took the science test. While taking the test, unless it’s the science test, we take the SBA, in our classrooms. Some people like the test, and some don’t. The SBA  is a very important test.

I like how detailed Lucy and Saki's piece is; they fully explained SBA testing. Great work!
