5th Grade Math by Aaron G and Joshua W

In 5th grade math we are working on adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators and taking quizzes. For example ½ +⅙= 4/6 This is how we figure out the nswerproblem. By finding the least common multiple which is to find the least common denominator. Then we convert this into the answer that we got and it’s 4/6.  We are also taking tests and quizzes  for the teachers to see what we know and what we have learned In conclusion in fifth grade math we are working on adding and subtracting fractions and we are doing very well

This week in art we  are working on a Egyptian Cartouche, we got to draw it on real papyrus from a plant that people from long ago used. We wrote\ our names in Egyptian Hieroglyphics on it, and the oval border was decorated with a simple design.  They turned out beautiful and they had a lot of color and creativity. The art project was very enjoyable and we had a great time doing something new. Our class will remember this project for a long time.

In tribes on Nov 18 we talked about fear and courage. We also talked about things that we are or were afraid of and how we have overcome those fears. We watched a kid president video about a kid using courage to dance in front of a crowd. We also played games like museum and the clapping game. For the greeting we did the dice greeting, you roll a dice and you go around the circle and you count as many people as the number you rolled with the dice and then greet the last one.
