This is a Madrona library book drive

Only 22% of children's books have a diverse main character.
Why: Because society needs more diverse books to know how other people experience
things
Who: You can donate diverse books to help out
What: This is a book drive to help make our school and multiple classroom libraries more
diverse by adding new or gently used books for PreK - 8th grade
Goal: 1000 books for our school and classroom libraries
When: You can donate from April 17th-May 5th
How: Not sure what makes a book diverse? You can choose books from our Amazon Wish List or from these links: The Brown Book Shelf, Common Sense Media, Multicultural Children's Book Day and Scholastic. We ARE taking multiple copies of books.
Where: The collection box in your center, the gym for middle school, or mail directly to: Soleil Book Drive
